Help, I need a guard!

I am a soldier deployed in Iraq, I am assembling my first knife as a gift for my wife. I have all the parts I need except the guard, I ordered the wrong one and cannot find a guard with the right size slot, not even from the company i bought the blade from. I want a lazy "s" shape brass guard, at least 3/16ths thick, 2 inches long and 3/4 wide with a .5x.135 slot. A "c" shaped guard in the same dimensions would work fine also.

I am building a small bowie with an antler handle and brass pommel. I have limited tools at my disposal or I might be able to fit the guard I have.

If anyone knows where I could get one that would be great, if not I am willing to pay $15 plus S&H if someone can make it. I could throw the guard I have n with that as well, brass 3/16x2x7/8 slot 1/2x3/16.

Thanks

You can do one of two things:
Find a piece of thin brass and cut a slot that fits the tang then put your guard over that, next the handle. Solder the whole thing together and use a sharpened piece of brass to remove any excess solder.
OR
Without the actual blade in hand it is near impossible to do a proper fit...so check and re-check the slot measurements and I will make you one. The one I make will be a little undersized so you will need a file to make it fit properly.
The two inch length is that before or after the guard is curved? More questions to follow in the Email reply
Email me with your specs and FPO will see if we can help out.
