bought at the arms show a couple of handforged iron/steel 'arrowheads'

told they are African, but no more precise about where

Can't get a pic into my computer right now
& can't find a pic online
Descriptions of bushman arrows sound similar (but no close pix)

anyways

iron/steel
obviously hand-forged
about 7" o.a.l. +/-
head 1-1/2" to 2" of this length
tapered tang makes up the remainder

most heads are narrow triangular
some more oval
width of head is ~1/2"
width of tang before taper is ~3/16" (>1/8", <1/4")

! base of point has a pair of barbs (1/2" long)
chiseled outward from the tang.
these things are meant to stay inside the target no matter what.

the head & shaft of some are decorated with fine chisel line patterns

thinking of getting more
so any assist with ID
ASAP (at this late hour)
greatly appreciated.

[& if anyone wants nice forged arrowhead--
---$5 each, let me know, here by 7am, or 8]

They look great and certainly adds to one's weapons collection. I wish I could help on the id. part.....I will say this though in regards to African wares especially pottery.....ceramics from the early 1600's found in American plantation sites still resemble pieces you can buy on the streets of Sierra Leone today.....wonder if this applies to weapon kits etc?

Just my two cents....sorry couldn't help.
