Yes, made in USA. Nice full cheeks on that one. Great axe. Give it a half banana grind with some good hand files.

Yes, this is in good shape. Someone has left it outside by the dock for years. What is a banana grind?

I am excited to get this axe fixed up.

Here's a half banana. If an axe has convex cheeks, aka - a high centerline - then you grind back further in the center where the bit is thicker. The thickness of the cheeks will determine how far back you grind.
