I have what I am sure is a recent production Remington Teardrop Jack with acrylic Tortoise scales and a Federal Shield. The master blade has a Remington etch, and both blades have the Remington UMC tang stamp in a circle. No country of origin or part number stamp. My feeling is that it is a 21st Century knife, maybe Chinese.

Do any of you recognize it?

It could be something that was made by queen or Schatt & Morgan.

I could be completely wrong, but most of the imported modern Remington branded pocket knives looked like Walmart knives or like Rough Rider type stuff.
Except for the bullet lockbacks that were made by Buck, and the bullet knives that were made by Bear & Sons.

Camillus made some tortoise shell Remingtons back around 2000-2001.
There is of course the possibility that is an old Remington with tortoise shell celluloiud handles.

I can see why you would think that, but it's a really lousy photo. The scales are acrylic. It's not an old knife, your estimation of early 2000s is probably right.
