I found this in my Brother in Law's tool box after he passed away. One end has a plunger and the other end is open. When I depress the plunger it locks down. When I press the button it snaps back to the top. My Brother in Law worked as an electronic repairman.
So what do you think?

That's it. I found one on line called a solder sucker.
