^ Agreed, although usually they are longer and not as Intricate?

Where did you get It?

I don't think it is a mine probe..... I have seen those in person (17 years in the Army) and none looked like this thing.....it is like a kubaton with a hidden stabbie thing....that is titanium.

i got it from a guy in another forum as a gift/trade type of deal.. He doesn't know anything about it either...he got it on a trade a long time ago and has been siting around his knife area for a while he said....he even forgot he had it till lately.

Will the scribe (what the stabby thing looks like) fit through the hole in the body making a "T" handle? Looks like it could be a machinist's tool made to both scribe parts and tighten a specific socket-head bolt....such as for a metal break or break-press...or something.

not sure...I will try it when I get home on Monday....I know that the point of the sticker is SHARP!!! Like stupid sharp.

Looks like a simple kubaton to me, only it has a concealed implement, which looks to be designed for the sole purpose of stabbing things, looks to be heat colored steel.

It appears to be too specific to be a mine probe, which would (one assumes) be of a non metallic material!

The nail tip indicates a type of punch, though for what, I have no idea. Alternatively, it could be a project/custom build.

It looks like something for leaking out fuel drums, tires and I suppose people etc. concealed in a handy "non stab your self" package.

I have a similar thing but the actual spike is a tube to let stuff flow out through it.

That would be a WICKED Kubaton If you could thread the spear-thing backwards Into the handle so you could pierce with It. C4 Punch sounds plausible but most I have seen were plastic, as static electricity from sliding around In your gear could actually set the charge off....

As I understand it C4 can only be set off via an explosive cap or charge. It can be safely burned as a fuel.

That was my understanding as well until I witnessed It being set off by a 9V battery at an air show/ Military Display and talking to the Bomb Squad.

C4 is quite stable. The surest way to detonate it is in response to a dramatic physical shock as would come from a small explosive. To detonate the big explosion, you need a small explosion. And that small explosion should, for best results, occur inside of the C4 mass. The practical application of all of this is that it requires a detonator such as a blasting cap set off inside of the mass of C4. Thus a hole is made into a mass of C4 and the detonator is inserted into the hole. What you want, typically, is a hole about 1/4" in diameter and about 2" deep. A tool intended for the purpose of making this hole is called a C4 Punch. The tool presented here fits that description. But, that description could describe a tool for many other purposes too.

Crawford knives has something similar in the form of an "ice pick"..... theirs has a knurled section forward of the spike to allow it to be re-threaded back into the kubaton like body

If it were a weapon, or for stabbing, it would be made so the stabby part could be threaded to the handle. Whoever made it clearly would have had the ability to do this. Since he didn't, it leads me to believe its a scribe. Just a guess—and I will definitely be watching for others' opinions.
