A few years back, I purchased this pocket knife at a flea market for about $7-$8. Can anyone tell me anything about it?

The body of the knife is about 3" in length. It has silver-colored bolsters. Dark wood (I am not sure of the type of wood) scales. Brass pins and brass liners.

The blade is a little over 2" in length. clip point shape. (Like a small bowie). Some kind of damascus steel. Different patterns on each side of the blade. At the bottom of the blade, the word "Parker" is stamped. There is an engraving of an eagle underneath. And "USA" underneath the eagle.

It is a very attractive knife that I carry, but never use. If anyone knows more about this knife or the company that made it, please let me know. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Marco,

I have three knives made by Parker Cutlery. I'm afraid I know very little about the history of the company except that they were in business in the 80's and made some very well built and beautiful knives.

I bought these 3 knives in the mid to late 80's. All were purchased in europe during my business travels there. I believe the company ceased operations in the late
80's or early 90's

I have 2 bali-song style folders and one lock back folder. All have "Parker Cut Co." stamped on the rear portion of the blade near the handle. There is also, what appears to be, a pair of out-stretched wings stamped below/behind the name. Mine do not have USA written on them anywhere.

For an example of these blade markings go to the link below. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th knives shown are all from Parker Cutlery and bear their brand markings. Note: The markings on the mid section of the blade (Gypsy) designates the model/style.

The owner of the web-site (Kendall) is a very nice individual and may be able to shed some light on the Parker company history.

Good luck.
