Help ID this old bayonet, and the mysterious markings on the blade.

I'm not sure why I haven't thought of this until now, but my uncle gave me a bayonet a few years ago. Being curious about it's origins, I started doing some research into old bayonets. But I couldn't find it. I found similar bayonets made in and around WWII, but nothing that matched mine.

Please excuse the tape on the handle - I wanted to use it, and holding onto sharp rusty rivets isn't much fun (the wood was heavily damaged and rotting away due to previous owner neglect)

This is the still functional release button. If I had the gun this went to, I could fix my bayonet and joyfully spear stuff.

This one is mostly what I seek answers about. Are these makers marks? Random inscriptions by the original owner?

What do they mean?

Looks like a "Turked" British blade. Might have started as as P-14 or P-17 but the guard is not the original I believe. Common for them to be converted.

Just recalled...It's a pattern 1907. Still probably turked as the muzzle hole looks to large

Yup, that does appear to be it...

It certainly matches better than anything else I've found, and the serial number (which I goofed and didn't post) is in the same spot and same "font" as other 1907s. (Mine appears to be either R0700, or M0040. It's pretty faded...)

Interesting.

Thank you sir! It's cool to finally know something about this.
