Help ID VERY Strange Spec-Ops Brand sheath...

What is this? I cant find any thing like it. Sure doesnt look like my other Spec-ops brand sheaths.
Yet it does say Spec-Ops brand on the back, looks well made and its supposed to be for a 7 inch blade.
Got it for a Dog Soldier 8 that is a tad over 7" but now I wonder if it will fit.
Anyone knows what this sheath is? Maybe some early model? Chinese knockoff?

That is a Spec-Ops special run made for the RAT7 knife sold by Ontario back in around 2004. A similar one might have been used for Gryphon M30-A1 as well. Not sure.

Makes sense because seller says it came with a rat7. Anyone knows if it will fit my sykco soldier dog 8?
