Picked up this little beauty with no birthcard. Can't tell if it's snakewood or cocobolo. Sorry for poor lighting, I'll post some better pics tomorrow when the sun is out.

It's a Classic model from 2008 if that helps.

Side question - is there a thread that outlines the different years that different woods were available from CRK? I looked in the FAQs and didn't see anything. I know they rotate, so it would be useful to know!

Just an FYI, you got a screaming deal on that knife. :)
Thanks! On average I've gotten a couple decent deals lately. I need to, because I sold my small regular sebenza for $200 about 8 years ago and recently when I got back into collecting knives, I had pay nearly triple to rebuy it. So I'll need a few good deals here and there to net it out! :)

I think that's what knife collecting comes down to. There's a few hard-to-find pieces that only come up rarely and you tend to overpay for them, but since you spend so much time looking and refreshing webpages to find those 3 grail pieces, you sporadically find something that's a crazy good deal, and maybe can make a few bucks off it if you decide to sell it down the line. And so even though you overpaid on a few pieces, you made a few bucks on a few other pieces, and on a net basis you averaged okay and wind up with the perfectly curated knife collection you want!
