Name this knife please.....trying to remember what I have!

It's a SJTAC, combat grade with muddy coating and canvas tiger hide machined scales. Hard to tell from this angle, but the scales look like they may be magnum thickness.

I was thinking it was a SJTAC as well but was not for sure......here is a pic of my BATAC with it for reference.

They made a CG with tiger hide? I thought they were only reserved for LEs and customs

There were a few early knives that had tiger hide as an option on the CG models, my CG NARK has tiger hide. :)

Nice one Brother, I love the SJTAC

Piglet here and my search fu is a little weak on my phone. What is the acronym SJTAC stand for?

I thought that TAC was for "Tactical". Confirmation from someone in the know would be great. :)

Then that leads me to the question of the BTAC....what would you call the finish and the scales on that one?

Shadow Camo with Snakeskin micarta scales, a nice combo!

There were two shadow camo's back then, Desert and Jungle. The differences are subtle.

Actually, there were 3. Urban Shadow camo is the other.

Your right! There was an urban that was shades of gray! Thank you! :) The jungle had green in it and the desert was shades of tan.

I should have remembered as I had a knife with urban shadow.

It was a nifty coating but as rough as the old desert, like sand paper. That stuff would chew a sheath up from the inside out.
