Yeah,....i've been wanting a ZT 0100 myself,......
...and i just picked up a factory blem from kershawguy which arrived on 12-21-07! (Thanks again Dave! :thumbup

Feels great in hand,.....and not much i could see that made it a blem. I'd never seen one before and i must say on these black blades even the XXXX markings are hard to see.
Not sure how i'll carry it,.....the nylon sheath is set up for molle compatable use but haven't totally figured it out for my belt yet!
..........It feels great in hand,.......nice balance and would strike fear into anyone looking down the blade. I might keep it in the bedroom in case i get woke up by someone breaking in!
.......that might seem strange to some of you to be thinking about this, but i had 2 breakins at my house this year,......and i've only owned the house 2 years!

I'll sleep better knowing it's there..........probably hang it in a corner, out of the sheath on a nail thru the lanyard hole for quick retreval.
The first was last December 2nd when they cut my outside alarm/phone cable and cable TV when i was at the mall for about 2 hours with my girl picking up my weekly scrap gold where i used to work. We come in the back door and whoever did it must have left out the front as we came home, as after the police left 3 hours later the front door deadbolt was open. We always leave it locked and the front diversion safe was in the hallway,.....not taken i believe because we came back. The bigger safe was attacked and all dials and levers were hammered off,.....but the $6K safe was not breached,......and it cost me $1300 to have a locksmith drill it open for me.
We learned that without cell phone backup,.....the signal never got to the alarm monitor company,........something i was never told. Whoever broke in never actually took anything due to our early comeback,.....but my door was kicked in, the alarm equipement smashed off the wall,....and my year old Pug was missing. I searched the neaborhood and thruout the house,......but no sign of her.
After being home 3 hours with the police i thought i heard a sound in the dog's bedroom (where the bigger safe was),......and the dog was crammed under a desk still shaking like a leaf after all that time. The guys must have scared the crap out of her,.....as she always comes out to greet us,.....but not that night. For a long 3 hours i thought they had taken her,....and i said a little prayer.
About 5 minutes later i heard the little noise that told me where to find her!
Anyway,......the insurance company screwed me for about $2,500,......but i got back $3,500 or so from that 1st breakin.
The 2nd breakin was in the attached shed i just had built to house a huge 5500 pound vault. It was a totally refurbished older diabold with anti-dynamite capability, that the locksmith had triple show chrome plated all the hindges, dials, and levers on both the 2 outside insulation doors and the single 2 1/2 inch hardened steel inner single door. (the plating alone cost $10K!) This beautiful piece of history was a sight to behold,......and i had laid out over $43,200 for it. (several casino blackjact trips paid for it over 5 months)
Because of the 1st breakin and what i had learned,.....i had upgraded to a cell phone backup system and put in a digital recording system with inside and outside infrared cameras. But this time the slimeballs didn't cut the alarm wires. Instead they cut a huge 5 foot X 6 foot hole in the back side of that new shed i built, and pushed some of the fiberglass insulation up over the infrared detector rendering it useless. Again no alarm was sent, and from camera shots the 2 guys were there about NINE HOURS! (7:00PM to a bit after 4:00 AM)
I was in Atlantic City playing serious blackjack, and my good sized win ($76K) was tempered upon arrival home seeing the shed hit. When i opened the shed doors i was greeted by what looked like a bomb went off. The 2 outer insulation foot thick vault doors were pryed open, and one was completely ripped off,......and the inner security door had all the dials and hindges broken away,.....but again no breach. This made it so that even i couldn't get in at this point.
My locksmith and another worker spent 2 days drilling this monster in about 15 places, and finally got me in to remove my valuables. For this i was charged another $3,200.00 An estimate for the shed repair was $800, and to remove the beast will cost about $1,200 more. The safe will be removed in the spring when the ground is solid,......the shed sooner i hope.
One of the things that the camera picked up outside was that these guys were in no hurry, and being a rainy night they wore full rainsuits with gloves and mesh netting over their faces for the most part. They also had headsets on, probably monitoring the police band. A separate walkie talkie could also be ssen on one of them.
In only a few frams did one guy goof up a bit,.....although after 2 months no arrests yet. It must have been pretty hot and hard work dressed as they were,......and one of them seems to have lifted his face netting while looking around the shed when he spots the red glow of the infrared camera. His jaw drops and he scoots away,......but it looked to me a lot like one of the worked from the alarm monitoring service that had helped installed the sensors!
I had one of the owners from the company come over and he thought it also looked like a guy that HAD worked for them,......but had left several months earlier because he was fired for a bad attitude. The pic was small in the monitor, however,.....and he wouldn't give a positive ID. Thoughts of a possible lawsuit probably had something to do with it also!
I'm still pretty sure it was him,.....and i'm kinda thinking he had some help from someone still at the alarm company. For a few months before i was going to the casino,....i was having ocassional problem notices of the newly installed cell phone backup system. About 2 weeks before i was to go away,.....they replace the unit and i thought i was set.
However, about 3 days later the bad cell phone backup notice was showing up again,......and i was pissed! This was the sunday before the friday i was to go away,.....and i called the alarm company up and said i can't be worrying about this NOW,......"as i was going away to Atlantic City on Friday for a few days"! The guided me thru a reset,.......and bingo,......that weekend i'm hit.
........couple that with the fact that the guys spent 2 hours getting thru the shed side wall rather than simply and quickly pry open the thin walled shed double doors,......and rendering the infrared detector useless by covering it with insulation,........and it's just too many coincidences. This was a job done by somone familiar with the location and type of sensor!
Anyway,......after a 2 month investigation of my insurance company,.......i recieved full reimbersment for the cost of the vault and costs to open it. ($46,400.00) Still need to get it removed and shed fixed,......but at least this time the insurance company didn't bend me over!
............and you think the knife givaways was stressing me out!
Yup, it is a cool folder! It's one of those old-fashioned slow-opening folders, 'tho...The kind that you have to open using a fingernail. But it's a VERY stout folder that locks open like a "bank vault". It's still listed in the current (2007) Kershaw catalog with a list price of $225

.
As an aside, I have it AND a Kershaw 1035 "Moose Hunter" fixed blade up for trade,
looking for a ZT 0100 to go with my ZT 0200 pair.
