Years ago I picked up a Spyderco and recently rediscovered it in a drawer. It's the size of a Manix 2, has linerless G10 scales, S30V, and a back lock. Any help would be appreciated.

Post a picture and you’ll have an answer in about 1 minute or less I’d say. Back lock Manix would be a nice find BTW.

Sounds like the original Manix, which had G10 scales and skeletonize liners and a backlock.

The large was 3.75 inches and the small was 3.2 inches.

This was one with green scales. Most had black scales.

There are three candidates:

C101 Manix 80mm
SC101MBGP2 Manix 2 Mid Backlock
C95 Manix

Most likely one of the two smaller ones (*101*) ? If I remember right, SC101MBGP2 is the only one of the three without liners.

There was another back lock Manix released after those were discontinued. It had a ~3.5” blade length. Weren’t around long though.

The SC101 is the third model I was thinking of. Records show I bought mine in 12/2018 right when they were being discontinued, which is what got me off the fence.

Too bad they didn't keep the model. I like the thicker G10 with no liners build.

From Spydiewiki -

I bought one for $119.99 in Dec 2018 when they were dc'd. The extra thick g10 scales make them super stout despite being linerless. I don't remember much buzz around them back when they were released. They must not have sold well to have such a short production run..

Cool piece of Spyderco/Manix history, imo..
