Okay, here's a brain teaser for all of you who think you know a thing or two about knives. My father saw an odd knife at a show this past weekend. He was told that it was a WWII vintage Marine Corps knife. He described it as looking something like a cleaver, with a very thick spine, and very crude handle. Basically two slabs of wood riveted to a steel tang. The end was rounded off. The only thing I found that sort of fits the description was the USMC Corpsman knife, but Dad said that the one he saw was heavier and thicker than that. Dad also said he was told that they were made by Ka - Bar but he didn't actually see the stamp on the blade. Any ideas?
