I happened upon this at a garage sale for a 50 cents. Do any of you know what model it is what steel is in it or what it might be worth.

I am pretty sure it has Buck's 420HC. I am not sure of the name of the knife (sorry), nor the years they were made. I have played with a few and they seemed nice. You got a heck of a deal for 50 cents!!!

As for the blade, it always felt more like a sticker knife as to a cutter.

Someone will be along with more info.

Here's some info on the Taclite, original retail price was about $55.00. Circa 2003. Nice looking little knife, I'd say you did good liljon.

The integrated thumb rest on the back of the blade provides added knife control. The blade steel is Buck's 420HC, hardened to Rc 58 for superior edge retention. The handle may be the surprise element; it' s a handsome wood laminate for good looks and durability.

A stainless steel belt/pocket clip makes it easy to carry.
