I don't know a great deal about Randall Made knives. I just aquired 4 pretty unique ones and I have 2 of them listed on E-Bay right now. They are both Model 14's, one has single finger grip handle and the other has the standard finger grip handle. What I need to know is how would I identify if they have Cut Down Tang's? In Randall's catalog it just basically says CDT: 1/4" x 1/2". Is the CDT thinner (width) than the Full Tang? Or is it the Height of the tang that is different? I don't believe it would be the length. Any help would be appreciated.

GeneL74, this is easy. Look at the top of the handle, if you can see the tang, it is the full tang. The full tang is about 1/4 X 3/4 inch and is exposed along the top and butt of the handle. The cut down tang is invisible, except where the butt cap (if any) is screwed on at the very rear portion of the handle). The cut down tang looks like the normale handle configuration on the Model #1, and most other models. Hope this helps.
