Help Identify Knife Storage Pouch (Possible CRK Cobranded?)

When I bought my 25 year old P Sebenza last year, it came with this leather knife storage pouch. I happened to have my Large Regular handy, so that appears in the picture for size comparison.

The knife pouch seems really high quality. Not sure if it's real leather, but it seems like it may be, and it's perfectly sized for the large sebenza.

Does anyone know if this was an "official" cobranded knife pouch that CRK was selling or using for their knives 25 years ago? Like how they use Gfeller for their leather knife sheaths.

Or maybe someone recognizes this as a generic knife pouch that has no relation to CRK. I don't see any labels.

Cobranded ???? how can it be "cobranded" when there are no brands on the sheath

I don't know if cobranded is the right word. I mean to ask, maybe CRK purchased 1,000 of these leather folding knife pouches from one company and shipped them with each knife. And maybe since it was 25 years ago, they weren't able to find a leather maker to emboss them.

Could very well be just a generic knife pouch, but since it came to me with a 25 year old historical CRK knife, it made me question if it was from CRK. Or if one of the owners of the knife just bought a generic knife pouch along to the way to store it in.

Edit: looks like a good sheath. Doesn’t look like a crk product to me.

That does look like a "quality" leather pouch (especially if its 25 years old). Hang onto it. Seems the older leathers lasted a lot longer than some of the leathers today. Here is a pic of a 45 year old leather pouch that came with a handheld dictating tape recorder that I bought when I started a business in 1974. I sold the business back in 1984 and the recorder is long gone. . . . but I still use it's leather pouch almost daily as it holds my electric razor in my car for quick touch ups. Even the zipper along with the stitching is still solid. The old saying "they don't make things like the used to" is so true.

Thats also why I love the CRK brand . . . "They do" make things just like they used to like a Sebenza when it went into production back in 1991!

CRK was sending the P Sebenzas out with a Nylon sheath. Some were just plain black, some were stamped with a CRK logo.
