My first Spyderco was a gift from a friend. It is all metal, fully serrated, says Spyderco on one side of the blade and Seki-Japan on the other. The metal clip is held on by three screws and says "US and FOREIGN PATS.". Blade is 2 1/4 long and handle is 3 1/4 long. Open length is 5 1/2". Carried tip down. I got it in 1989 and it was a few years old then. Is it a Copilot?
Thanks

It is very difficult to identify a Spyderco knife without a picture. Anyone who tries can only give it their best guess.

I suggest you take to a knife store for proper identification.

I do not believe it is a Co-Pilot as its blade is 1 3/4" long. (You do not measure the entire lenght of the blade, only the sharpened edge.) The C0-Pilot does carry tip down.

Good luck.

The Co Pilot measures at 5" OAL. The closest to 5.5 would be the Dragonfly but they were not available in 89'. Given the year and its supplied measurements and if its blade shape is similar to the current Pro Venators and Pro Grips it is a good bet that it is the now discontinued "Executive" model.
