I'm wondering if this is a random custom made by some individual or was it a SFO from some retailer or association. The box is neat. It was milled out of a single piece of wood and hinged. I'm not good at identifying woods, so if someone knows what that is, please let me know. There is a plastic insert in which the knife can nest. The knife has a 2007 blade, finger-grooved handle, and some kind of resin-infused wood with green spacers. Anyone have an idea what the knife scale wood is? The spine has file-work on it. Anyone know anything about this beast?

After market customization.
I don't see anything in the link you attached except "404." I figured it was aftermarket but what surprised me was the box and the little nesting plastic thing - makes me think more than one was made.

Edit: I guess someone could have vacuum formed the nesting thing at his shop. I've seen a lot of people doing that kind of thing themselves. Seems like a lot of effort to go through, though.

Edit 2: When I zoom into my pictures, I can see my cat must have been sitting there :)
