I purchased this knife many years ago, and am now interested in moving it along. I can't remember the name of the maker. Can anyone identify the maker from these photos of the knife and maker's mark? Thanks for your help!

I sent the photos to Custom Knife maker Pekka Tuominen, in Finland as the sheath looked like it could be Finnish. Pekka replied that he did not recognize the symbol, and to him the knife looks Russian. John

It's definitely from an American maker, and I am pretty sure I bought it from one of the U.S. based online knife sellers. I remember reading that the maker made knives for Wiccan ceremonies (or something weird like that).

I'm pretty sure that's by Jonathan Loose from Vermont. Yes, he specialized in Scandinavian inspired pieces.

I have not heard about him in many years, yet I recalled that mark. It's a J and an L.

Google can't seem t locate him either. However, that's what you got!

Thank you! I actually remembered Jonathan, but couldn't get any further. I'm sure this is correct!

Now, Coop, JL is a name I have not seen in years. As I recall it was either in BF for sale or EBay where I used to see quite a few of his pieces.
