I’m looking for help identifying a toothpick knife I got from my grandfather. I’ve been carrying it daily for two years now and lost the inlay which had the logo some time ago and my grandfather has dementia so there’s not much help there.

My wife is wanting one as well to throw in her purse as this size is just too useful for small daily tasks.

I know it’s not a Case. It has a Chinese blade. The inlay was gold to match the pins and ends of the knife. I’m hopeful someone recognizes the logo on the blade itself. Thanks in advance!

I don't recognize the tang stamp.

What is the closed length? Rough Rider has some small, and I believe a medium toothpicks with different covers.

Very interesting tang stamp...looks like Elephant Nosed Otter and Miniature Ox brand..
..looks rough riderish ...nice scales...I wonder how old it might be..
You can get the Mrs a Case tiny toothpick or better a small stockman.
Cheers.

That is a Frost Cutlery toothpick, I believe. You can easily find them new on the big auction site for very little money - you might even find one with the same handle color. Here is a screenshot I took of the shield on one of them:

Frost is generally considered to be at the low end of the price and quality spectrums, but I have had a few and they were perfectly serviceable. If the the size and pattern are to your liking, don’t be put off by what else you may read about the brand elsewhere here on BF. Also, you have a personal connection to it through your grandfather, which makes it special.

Yep. That’s it! Thanks so much. I had trouble finding that logo initially when searching for Frost as I have another Frost with an eagle logo on the blade.

I probably will end up going with a few case’s. Get one for the wife and one for each of my boys. I’m someone who’s always got stuff in my pockets so the small form factor of these knives make it so easy/comfortable.

Thanks, but actually I had spent some time a few months ago looking for a large toothpick, and I thought this one looked familiar. It was just chance that the first one I found when searching this morning had the exact same logo.
