I've been, ahem, baWRONG before, lolz, but it does look like a barong, and a seriously effed up one at that, like somebody was trying to cut steel pipe or a gun barrel with it, naughty-naughty!!!

Likely a utilitarian post-WWII model by the handle construction, and forged blade based upon the marks towards the spine and handle.

I saw something similar recently when I search Hmong knife. They were very similar to borong and bolos but looked to be lighter weight knives.
