Got these knives in an estate and would appreciate some help identifying them and a general date range. Only marked "Buck, U.S.A."

Many thanks

That's the Buck Intrepid, late nineties. I think it's a Kit Carson design. What is stamped on the handle scale?

The only marking is the "Buck, U.S.A." on the blade, I am wondering if these knives were made for "medics" or what the emblem is on the handle.

Is that emblem set into a pocket or glued to the surface of the handle? Do you have the box they came it? The box should give a catalogue number that would be helpful.

The last Buck catalogue i see the tanto Intrepid, model #189, is 1999. I do see sales extending through 2003 though and they may have been for special orders. I can't find one in the computer that mentions a medalion on the handle though. It is possible that this is something that somebody did once they bought the knife from a Buck dealer.
