This knife isn't for sale, I don't want this post taken down I'm genuinely curious lol. I've seen this knife for as long as I can remember, and now it's mine. Any help is appreciated. The number on the blade says C8887

Two 0’s or O’s on the blade with some sort of wreath under it. One side says stainless steel Japan and the other says C8887

Did you look at the Franklin Mint knives to see if you could find it there ?

This is an old cheapo like you could have gotten from frost cutlery, and that's exactly what the eagle on the handle looks like. It looks quite a bit like the most common / longest used Frost cutlery logo.
This may not be frost specifically but most probably from the same manufacturer as their stuff.
Franklin mint or American mint are also likely suspects.

American Mint was absolutely right. 200th anniversary knife. I knew it was old but I didn't think THAT old, looks like I can get about 10 bucks out of it lmao

Also looks like Scrimshaw and Britannica Sears(?) had them too.

Glad you identified it.
For some reason I more suspected American mint over Franklin mint, were either of the two responsible.
