I have an silver Alox Electrician, that is marked Victorinox Switzerland Stainless on the drop point.

It only has a cross on one side and it appears the coloring was scraped off.

Could you help me determine the vintage of this knife?

I have had it for about 7 years, but not certain if it was acquired at a auction, included in a box purchase, for $7 or 8.
Or, another source that was spilled in my truck bed when moving junk for a friend. (He had never seen the knife before) .

Thanks for any feedback.

That's a standard Old Cross Electrician. The came in silver and that one is pre '99 because Vic changed the shield design that year.

The pic is too blurry so I can't see the tangstamp but if the "V" in Victorinox is the same size as the rest of the letters it is pre '86.

Thank you.
The "V" is a bit taller than the last of the letters

I hoping to narrow down it age to help determine where it had been before finding it way to me.

Ok, then it between '86-'99 when the shield changed. It's hard to pin down exactly to the year on the ALOX models. Usually a range is as close as you get because they changed so little. Sometimes the way the tools are polished can narrow it further.
