I recently purchased a lot of 16 USA made pocket knives at a flea market and have been in the process of cleaning up and restoring several of the knives. One knife see the photos below did not have any tang stamp or other identifying marking left on the knife blades. The blades as observable in the photos have severe blade material loss and the tang stamp was likely either worn away or removed during sharpening over the years. The knife has black wood handle material and brass liners with what appears to be nickle silver bolsters and pins.

The pocket knife is approximately 3-3/8" closed length.

Let me know what you think, any input is helpful;; and appreciated.

Very nice. A great find.
A pre-1940 Schrade Walden, or Schrade Cut Co? maybe?
That is my guess.

Looks to me like someone put home made blades into an old frame??
That would be my guess as well.
beyond the crudeness of the long nail pull on one, the blades clearly didn't start out as anything that would be found with this frame.

As far as opinions on the knife, I'd say the blades are too far gone.
You can put an edge on them, but they're not going to cut all that well.

The Spine of the Blades also do not Match the Springs either, apart from ALL that is going on with the blades, there's also a lot of previous work done on the Bolsters.

Sharpen up those kinda funky Blades, and use the knife like you stole it- you will probably get to really like carrying it! :)
