Hello everyone,
My father gave my brothers and I seven custom knives he purchased while hunting in Colorado about 25 years ago or so. I'm not so sure if the knife maker was from Colorado or not, as one of my brothers remembers dad saying the maker was from Oklahoma. All seven knives are different, these two are mine though. Each one has the stamp (dah), at least that's what it looks like. All are stamped D2, I assume for D2 steel.

I know they aren't in pristine condition, but they get used every hunting season, and perform incredibly well.

Any help id-ing who the maker is/was would be appreciated.

Your knives were made by a man from Midwest City Oklahoma Named Donald A Horn and they are indeed D2 steel. He passed away a few years ago and had stopped making knives a few years before that. Don made good quality knives in a number of styles. He was a very nice man and one of my mentors. I still have a couple of his pieces. Enjoy them.

Thank you very much Brion, my brothers and I have loved these knives since my dad gifted them to us. He passed 10 years ago.
Now knowing the name of the maker of these knives, makes them more special to me.
