Help identifying Kami mark

That's Purna Kami. He's newer to HI, and he does excellent work. High fit and finish, well built, well-designed, all around excellent.
 
Now you just need to post pictures of the entire blade. We sufferers of HIKV (Himalayan Imports Kukri Virus) demand pictures of beautiful kukris, especially when our appetites have been whetted so. ;)

It certainly is. Actually, all the HI Kamis are outstanding. However, based on my limited knowledge and modest HI collection, I have some favorites. I have pieces from the legendary Bura and Rajkumar as well. Purna's work is in the same league. However, my works by Murali, Thamar, etc, etc are right there as well.

Definitely will not be my last purchase from HI. If its a virus I've caught it and plan on spreading it to anyone I can. Been looking at the JKM-1 (im sucker for nordic knives) or a WWII as my next purchase. Just dont tell my girlfriend :D.

My condolences to your wallet, if HIKV you caught, might as well let you know now that there isn't a cure, you can just alleviate the symptoms with a purchase once in awhile.

Wow! That's a beautiful scabbard! Have you done that, or was it so when you got it? I have wondered if it's possible to dye an already colored scabbard. But i have no clue about leather coloring and so on. Think a kind of oxblood would be nice. Or something like this.

If Purna did that yellow scabbard. I feel that i must have one myself.

The Yellow/Black reminds med of Uma Thurman and Kill Bill. :-p

I doubt Purna did the scabbard. Usual practice is the Kamis have Sarkis (scabbard makers) do that for them. He may have had some input on this particular knife but I dont know? I do like the color. Eventually ill have to rub it down with some mineral oil and it may darken it a bit but I really like the contrast as it is. I may try a spot in the back and see what happens.
