Help identifying Khuk?

I bought it for $10 from a local guy who didn't want it. I put an edge on it, but I doubt I'll use it for anything. Can anyone tell me, or point me to, any info on this?

Looks like a 'lion-head', made for the tourist trade, probably in India.

That said, some of them can be pretty nice, and yours displays better workmanship than most I have seen. If the handle is tight and the blade steel is sound, then it's a good Kuk, regardless of who it was made for.
 
I think the steel is pretty sound, when I got it the edge was dented and pounded flat almost all over from, what looks like, very intentional abuse. I imagine improperly treated or lesser steel would have broken or chipped. The pommel cap has very slight side to side movement, and won't move up and down.
