Howdy Folks,

My dad recently gifted me some knives. Most of them are commerically available, or at least were at some point. This one is marked V. Cox and I can't find anything about the maker online. Any help figuring out where it come from would be appreciated, mostly just to sate my curiosity!

Cheers

I looked in the Knives Annuals: 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000. Nothing.

Colin Cox and Sam Cox, but no 'V'.

Historically when a maker hand signs work with a vibro-engraver, it's a hobbiest. Not always, but often.

That it was your dads makes it an heirloom, beyond this. Cherish that.

Welcome!

Thank you :)

And yes, in any case, it's an extremely well made, unique piece that I'm happy to have. The old man said he skinned a few deer with it but decided it was too nice to use! I plan on putting it in the rotation and making a pancake sheath for it.

Thank you again for looking it up for me!
Merry Christmas, God Jul!
