Hi all, I’m new to this so bear with me. I found this on a house clean out many years ago. I can’t find any type of makers mark so I’m assuming it’s on the tang or non existent. The handle has a cutout where it may have attached to another weapon like a gun? anybody have any clue what this is?

I cannot figure out how to upload a pic

You need a pic hosting site. Imgur is good and free. Upload your pics there, select your pic and click the box for "message boards and forums". Copy and paste that link here.

Most definitely a Mauser bayonet, but I don't recognize the specific manufacturer. Being wartime produced, it could have been made by any one of dozens of factories or contracted firms supporting the German war effort.

It is for a German K98 Mauser, WWII. See this YouTube link for reference:

Per the site's rules, you cannot ask or talk about value of a knife without an upgraded membership.

I will tell you that these bayonets were made by the tens of thousands during the war. While historically valuable, these bayonets are still plentiful and available so they are not significantly valuable, monetarily-wise.

We’ll that’s silly. I’m reading these are more on the rare side, being first produced in 1939 and this bayonet is marked as 1939. Whatever the value, it’s interesting to find out what it really is

Yes, FIRST being produced in 1939, but continuing to be produced throughout the war (ie. tens of thousands made). While slightly significant in that your example was produced during the first year of the war, they are still plentiful and available per my post above. :)
