Several years ago I found a great condition Kent pattern axe at a garage sale. On one side there are deeply stamped capital letters J.W., each followed by a period, as if they were put there by the individual who made the axe. On the other side, there are capital letters "RABTO". There may be other letters preceding the R and following the O., but I can't be sure. Also, the R might be a B. Does anybody recognize those marks? Can anybody help me figure out the maker ID? Thanks, T-A.

I see that the first link doesn't work, but if you go to any of the other three links, you can click forward or backward and see all four images. T-A

To me, it definitely appears that there could be a letter following the O. It might be an R, or it might be an N, or something else. Regarding the B, I don't think that that could be anything but a B. I don't think that what looks like a B is actually a P. Thanks for giving me something to consider. I appreciate the input. T-A
