Someone won this knife for me as an early christmast present. Tried doing some searching to find out what it is and came up with nothing. The listing had no date on it so that's no help. The only pictures I have are from the listing so if they don't help I'll take more when I actually receive it. Any information on it would be greatly appreciated. Knife was won for $7 I should add.

unfortunately it is most likely not a Kershaw, I try to never say never, but I am 99% sure that it was just resting in a Kershaw box.

Yeah.... I have been a Kershaw fan for about 30 years now. They have made some unusual departures from time to time in their lineup, but that one doesn't look familiar at all. I don't recall any bone (?) handled stockman patterns from them, because if they put them out and I saw it I would have at least one.

A couple of things will help. First, if there is a model number on the box, research that. It may solve the mystery in a second or two via the internet. Second, see if there is a model number on the blade and search that. Next, check the blade stamps and see if Kershaw actually appears on the knife. I have never owned a Kershaw knife (and there have been more than a few!) that didn't have identifying marks on it.

So it's definitely NOT a Kershaw. The seller neglected to take a pic of the other side where it clearly has an anvil emblem and the named stamped on the blade. Doesn't even fit in the box he sent it in lol She looks like she's been in someone's tackle box for a little too long. I'm not an expert but she looks like toast to me.
Here's some pics

I belive it's a old buck...

The anvil shield could lead you to believe that. It is actually an Anvil knife. Anvil was a registered trademark of Colonial. This isn't nor will this ever be a Kershaw. :)
