I received this as a gift about 40 years ago from someone I lost touch with. I'm not looking for value, because I don't think it has any, other than sentimental.

There are not a lot of markings on the blade other than "Japan" and "Hand Made High Carbon Stainless Steel". The sheath only has "Japan" on it. Does anyone know the brand or model?

It's a generic inexpensive knife that would have been imported under various brand names.
I think I may have seen this branded explorer and maybe G.C CO.

I appreciate the fast reply! I was able to find more info by Googling what you provided.

Your knife is basically the SHARP Model 200 made in Seki Japan during late 1970s/early 1980s. While the original OEM contract called for the SHARP branding on the blade, it was not unusual for the factory to have excess production and those would frequently be left unmarked or marked as something else if another Importer bought them. In this case some US Importer bought them unbranded.
