Help identifying skinner

I bought it a while back at a flea market, the guy who owned it was trying to sharpen it with a file and looked at me crazy when I asked why he wasn't using a sharpening stone. I've fixed the edge on it to where it useable since then. It is full tang, which is exposed, and has grips that appear to be pakkawood. The blade is roughly 5.75" long and the tang is 3/16" thick with no stamp or maker's mark. Would appreciate any help to identify possible maker or information on it.

Just went back and hopefully fixed the pics. Let me know if they aren't still working and I'll try to fix it

I had one like that when I was a kid. Hate to say it, but that is a cheap Pakistan import or something similar. It will take an edge, but is really awful steel. I bet the sheath has that "cardboard leather" feel. Maker?...who knows? Frost Cutlery is probably the most likely candidate.

Thanks for the reply RemyKaze, I was figuring it was possibly a Pakistan import. The sheath did have a cardboard leather feel to it, got rid it and using an old Matco sheath right now for it. At least I won't feel bad using it around the farm some.

Yeah I'd happily beat on that thing. The steel may not be amazing, but full tang construction is hard to argue with for a cheap beater. Saves your nice knives some wear and tear.
