I collect Rigging knives. Made in the US. By manufacturers who are defunct, or at least from lines that are no longer made. I have three Schrade knives I'd like more information about.

This one is identified on the blade as #735SS, Schrade Walden

Four lines on the tang of this one. Schrade/Walden/NY USA/Stainless

The blade is narrower than the 735. On the 735 you have to open the blade to depress the lock lever bale far enough to close the spike. This one, you can unlock the spike with the blade closed. Also, the scales seem to be the same "red bone" that is on my Camillus 697's.

The blade is shaped differently on this one. I'm still awaiting delivery from an ebay seller. He claims it's WWII vintage.

Anyone know anything else about these?

I have a few rigger's. I've been trying to replace the one my Dad gave me that some jerk stole some years back , so far no luck.

The latter knife , I have two like that , one is mint and the other one was spike damaged and is now a modified single blade jack.
I am no expert but I do not think the latter knife is WW2 era.

What sort of rigger was stolen from you?

I have several Myerchins (that I use), a couple KaBars, these three Schrades, a Buck or two, several Camillus Navy style (of various ages), as well as a 695 or two, a Case XX 6 dot. Still looking for a Camillus 696, NIB/MIB.
