Help Identifying this Benchmade

Hi Benchmade Pros. I’ve had this knife for about 15 yrs. I have carried it a few times. Mostly at weddings or when required to dress up. It is super smooth opening. Has carbon fiber and wood of some sort. Blade is 154cm. I was thinking of posting it for sale, but I don’t know much about it or it’s value. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the 690 before, but I have a 698 Foray that seems to share a lot of it’s DNA. Is the 698 an update of the 690?

essentially yes. the 690 was an Elishewitz design collaboration with a liner lock. the 698 was a later version of the same knife with an axis lock

you’re welcome. i don’t have a 690 but do carry a 698 quite often, mostly at work when i can’t use anything large without raising eyebrows. it’s got a real solid build with nice thick bladestock. built like a little tank
