Help Identifying this Kelly Mark

Thanks, Cooperhill.

I had seen that site, and was thinking that the Australian made Kellys were the only ones I had seen that sort of label on. Going back to the site, again I don't see a similar logo except on the Dandenong.

Yeah, rust doesn't bother me, nor do broken handles (=cheaper shipping:) The eye and edges look pretty sound on this one.

Can't see your photo, hope you can repost it.

Yeah Coop, I'm not sure what's going on. I'm having trouble seeing your pics too

As to the OP... That's a nice find. I saw that one listed. You don't see those 'worlds finest' DB's too much (at least I haven't anyway).

Testing out cooperhill's image from above:

It worked! That is a SWEET axe, Chris!

John, great score on the double bit! I only have one "World's Finest."

Nice axes all the way around!

I had a bear of a time getting the old handle out today. Hardest wood I've ever tried (and sometimes failed) to drill.

She's a bit beat up, but definitely salvageable!

And, finally, the full ghetto "wedges" removed:)

The good news is that the eye is not deformed and the basic profile is in tact. I just need to work on the edges, which are kind of fouled up in all three dimensions:(

Just wondering if anyone can help me with the mark, possible age, etc.

With the True Temper stamp it dates after TT taking over Kelly. I think that was 1947 but I'm sure some other forums members have that date at their fingertips.

Peg - I have some more info on this - so we will be discussing this more here soon.
