Maybe someone can help me identify this Kukri.

Someone came to my house today to buy $35 worth of gun parts I had for sale, but when he got here he asked if I'd be willing to trade for this Kukri instead, and I decided to take a gamble on it (since I had no use for the parts he wanted anyway).

Anyone have any idea what I have here? Seems well built, everything is tight on it anyway.

Unfortunately, that is one of the notorious lion headed khukuries. It was made for the tourist trade, low quality, usually poor blade steel, geometry and performance.

N2N nailed it. It's pretty much a wall-hanger cobbled together for cheap to be sold to tourists. I see these all the time at antique shops commanding pretty ridiculous prices. Not because the market is strong for them, they just look cool and most people would assume that it's some sort of well-used family heirloom.

Honestly, it's pretty rare to stumble across anyone with real working knowledge of antique khuks.
