Okay, need a little help. I have a couple of JKs that are among my very favorites, but I can't remember the names!
Can you guys help me ID them?
Obviously the top one is some kind of Canadian pattern but I don't know the name.
The bottom one completely escapes me but it's one of my very favorite knives! You can't see it in the pic but it has '1' stamped into the blade (in the same location that the K is at on the other side).
Here's a pic of the second knife. I love the way the palm swells are contoured! Simply wonderful in the hand.
I love the Canadian-style knife! It's fantastic for batoning. My brother was using it to split some oak and hit a knot...you can probably see a tiny roll in the edge. It's very minor and should sharpen right out.
That second knife is so wonderful that I am interested in seeing if John can make another one just like it but a bit larger. It's a bit small for processing wood but so remarkably designed that I always take it to the woods with me.
I have to note that I especially like the orange scales! Back in the day I used to prefer all black...right up until I laid down an all black knife while I was collecting wood and couldn't find it again! Orange really stands out in the woods, so now I prefer either orange scales or a bit of orange paracord tied as a lanyard.
