help id'ing a discontinued spyderco

so i was hanging out at my local knife shop discussing old spydercos. the conversation turned to the ones help open and closed with a rare earth magnet. any help would be appreciated

This would be the T-Mag. It was introduced and discontinued within the same year as it never caught on. Many prefer to have an actual lock as the magnet didn't do a well enough job of securing the blade. One must ALWAYS have their index finger on the choil when using the knife.

that's it thanks guys. was thinking of getting one just to see what it was all about but i cant rationalize it......eh who am i kidding this whole knife collecting thing has gotten out of control anyway. i may pick on up sooner or later

Looks wise I loved it. Function wise, well that's why I sold it. I appreciate the fact that Spyderco was and still is willing to take chances and innovate. This was a rare flop.
