I think it is a kalinga, limited edition of custom? It is one of only 610 ( says on the other side of the knife). Any ideas?

WOW!!
Where did you find that???? That model is new for this year, but a custom one already!

Thats a new Kalinga Pro. I like it! I love the wood handle! Very nice.

Model 406?

It is the new style Kalinga for 2007, stamped "Custom", first 1 I've seen. I like it, cut-out is spaced far enough from the cutting edge.

A buddy gave it to me as a early christmas gift, not sure where he got it. Did come with the box, not sure if he still has it. I will take a better picture of the handle. Any idea how much it is worth?

Yep, I can see I need to get a new display case and start my Kalinga Pro collection ;)
Oh and another job...

Thats a new model Kalinga... with custom stamp and laser cutout. First one seen ;)
Depends on who wants it. Depends on sheath type, box, etc. You had better hang onto that one! (your buddy too.) :D

Hi epe223,

Welcome to the Buck forum and thank you for sharing that sweet looking knife. See if your buddy will tell you where he got it so we can get one too ;)!!!! Scott posted the link to another of the new Kalinga Pro's with a custom blade cut out from the NRA store it's the S30V version and is big $$$$. Your new knife looks to be the standard 420 steel...But, has a wood handle and the blade cut out....I'd say your blade would be worth around $100 retail. But...pricing is a funny thing...someone may pay a lot more....some a lot less.

As a rule, I usually don't buy knives with cut-outs(mostly because I don't have the funds to buy them all), but I'll have to say the 3D look of this Kalinga's cut-out is outstanding!

I love the cutout on this knife ;)
I think because of the size and shape of the new Kalingas, they will work well for alot of cutouts in the future!

Sooooo, did you get the box? Whats on the label on the end????? :D

He did not save the box... :thumbdn:

Guess i should not complain about since it was a gift... but... that does really suck.. Think maybe his wife wrapped it and put it in her own pretty box... hence no need to save that one..

Just my .02 worth but without the box it lessens the value.

Some guys do not mind if it has the original box or not, but they will almost always be more valueable if everything is kept original.

Don't be afraid to bring that one out and use it ;) Dont let it bother you about the box either, you received a knife as a gift and the box doesnt cut stuff all that well anyway :D Enjoy it !!!

Thinking about using it.. By far the sharpest knife i have had my hands on. :D

And when you take a good look at the cutout I dont belive it will weaken the blade like some of the cutouts do..
