Blade style reminds me of the Schlieper African Hunter knives.
Any photos of marks?

My first thought was Remington, but it could some other manufacturer.

To my eye its been reworked. The guard is unusual, probably hand made. The clip on the blade looks unusual and crude, and the pommel nut has been buggered up.

The pommel looks original it is probably the best clue to who made it. Find a knife with a similar pommel and nut.

I just checked my collection no match.

It's German, most likely post WWII, 1950's -70's. This style was only around for a decade or two, then it vanished, the closest shape to it was the much larger "African Hunter" style. The guard looks odd, because it's missing a ball. It should be a double ball type. I can't tell if it was original to the knife and just ground or ground out from from a longer blade, anyway that deep clip was a known style.

The only other knife brand it might be is France's Sabatier Jeune, they did some knives over the years that could be reworked into a knife like the above -

Many here - https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10155363784708584&set=a.319150798583 .
