I picked this up at a flea market. It caught my eye as it looks to be well made and I liked the bone handle. The only thing on the knife is Wild Boar Surgical steel. I found some on the web that looked like they are from the same manufacture but I can not find any history of this maker. I don't know if this is some Chinese knock off or if its a vintage knife. Any help on this appreciated.

Just looked at Goins, no any info about such company either on W and B. Sorry. Maybe someone here could help you.

Jack pattern, at ~3 inch closed a "medium" jack?

Wild Boar is Chinese sourced, at least. I forget if its one of the Szco sub brands, or someone elses. I don't  think it is a Frost brand.

Not a "knockoff", any more than a GEC two blade jack is a knockoff of a Case, Böker Tree Brand, or anyone elses 2 blade jack.

"Traditional" knife  patterns (or blade shapes and combinations) are not proprietary.
