Help id'ing what looks like a hatchet head

Saw one of these at the flea market this weekend and now found one online by chance.

Next to the leather case in the pic, no handle, black paint. Looks like a hatchet head of sorts but I have never seen one. What is it? Who made them, for what, and ballpark value?
Kicking myself for not looking close at the one this weekend.

It's a "Skachet".

The Skachet was patented in 1965. The labels said "Made in Japan".

You rock! Man it was driving me crazy. Should have looked at it more closely at the flea market. Quick glance made me think it was really awkward so I kept going.
