Does anyone know where to get a hold of cheap fixed blade display stands? The kind you just set the knife on. I'm looking for some that will hold medium to very large fixed blades. Thanks.

Hey David. I believe they have a website. Do you happen to have the URL since I don't have a catalog? Those would be perfect. Thanks.

David,
Never mind my friend. I performed a search and found it. I'll go there and see what they have. Thanks for the "heads up".

Went to the "Special Projects" site and even on sale the prices are too excessive. $36.00 "on sale" for a single fixed blade Lucite stand? It should be solid oak for that much money! Thanks though for the suggestion. Anybody else have others?

Gene,
I was trying hard not to say the words " Bud K", since the S.O.B. deals so many knock offs. He's got them cheaper, but you didn't hear it from me

Gene,

You might contact your local High School or College woodshop/cabinet making class, to see if maybe a student might want to take on the task of building your knife-stands. (As long as you don't have to bring those DANGEROUS knives to the school!).

You might check out the khukuri stands

at Gurkha House, listed under Accessories. At $15.95 they are a good buy, though definitely made for "very large" fixed blades - anything smaller than, say, a Cold Steel Trailmaster looks pretty puny in them.

Email Jeremy Reynolds UCOBronc64@aol.com He is a forumite here in Oklahoma. I met him at a gunshow here, and he brought Ray Kirk and myself a couple of display stands that he made. The stand is very nice, and is a fine way to display your knife. I generally keep my Randall knife on it. I had a pic of it, dunno what happened to it. I will try to get another pic tomorrow if you are interested in seeing it.

At one show I was at, Les Robertson had little clear plastic knife stands for .50 a piece. You might ask him if he still has any.

David,
I went to that collection of junk known as "ButtK" but it was a dead end. Like I said though thanks.

Berkley,
Thanks for yours. That's a much better priceline.

Dann,
Thanks. Might be a thought if I have no other recourse. I'm not a wood worker myself.

Richard,
Would be much appreciated if you could post a pic of Jeremy's work. My Randalls and my large Bowies are what I want to use the stands for. I also like supporting other fellow forumites.

Lifter,
You posted while I was posting.

Thanks, I will.
Thanks to all for the suggestions.
