I have a knife that the locking mechanism if broke somehow. It will not lock in place. Is warranty a thing of ther past now that Camillus is going thru their problems?
Or maybe someone can tell me how to fix it. It's this type of knife. Has number 11 on the blade. The spring (?) has sprung so to speak, as there is no tension on the blade from the locking part.

Sounds like the lock bar needs to be replaced, which means disassembling the whole knife. There are some folks here able to do that kind of work, but unless you can find a spare lock bar, making one from scratch might be asking a little much. I think you might be stuck going through Camillus. Some people are reporting their customer service is still operating but IMO it would be a real gamble at this point.

Under the circumstances that Camillus Cutlery is going through unfortuantely affects the repair department as well. An accurate time frame as to when repairs can be done is not feasible at this time. You can call in periodically to check the status of the situation before attempting to send your knife in for warranty repair.

I am also referring you to a gentleman (listed below) that is a well known knife doctor, however you would have to contact him as to what the charge would be to repair your knife.

As old as it is, and the blade is loose, (side play) it would be cheaper to buy another knife. The knife it not special to me, just an old user.
Thanks for the info tho.
