Help indentifying found knife

Found this knife at a barn sale was wondering if anyone knows who made it. It is large heavy and sharp here are a few pictures

George Englebretson

Always signing his knives "By George" – the late George Englebretson was a very popular Maker that produced clean well made knives of many different designs.

Looks like an early piece.

George did sign his knives like that, but that is not his normal fit and finish or style. I have seen a lot of Englebretson knives and that does not look like his. Curious.

Yes I agree Jim. I have seen some of Georges earlier knives that were signed similar to this one, but the Montana throws me off. A mystery.

Definitely not Georges we know Brion. His even early ones were always precise well fitted knives.
