Just need some help from these pics if anyone can tell if this may be a fake - before I drop the coin.....

Color seems slightly odd but could be due to background and lighting. Guy doesn't have box or papers.

Do tell, please. First photo looks like part of the blade is sticking out of the scales and that got me wondering and looking more.

If you really want to identify these things, request that the seller send higher resolution pics...The pics provided are just far enough away to let you identify the shape, but not necessarily enough to identify it readily as a fake. Typical of someone selling a fake is to give you somewhat small pics to get by any really good scrutiny.

Fake, thumbstud doesnt look pointy enough, lanyard pin is a lighter color, pocketclip isnt parallel with lockbar, screws are torx not hex blade grind is funky.

Not sure if i agree with this logic. Anyone can buy a real sebenza and compare it mm to mm to a fake and see exactly what is and isnt the same. Best to let honest folks who havent ever handled a real sebenza know what to look out for.

Im sure the crooks who create the fakes did just that. But they cant create an exact copy because they dont have CRKs materials, tooling or experience in the manufacture and finishing of a sebenza.

It would be folly to buy this for any reason. It's clearly a fake for many of the reasons listed above by Steel_Addiction.
