I bought my 1st CRK(umnun) just after Thanksgiving. Two classics have

followed and I should have my 1st regular 1/15.

All 3 are fighting for pocket time and the umnun is winning by a landslide!

My 25 or so Spydies feel like theyve been abandoned with no help in sight.

Emersons and Bokers dont understand what happened either.

Have any of you had a similar experince since you bought your 1st.CRK?

That's a shame about the other knives. What a waste!

I will get you my address ASAP and I will be sure to send you some pics of them at their happy new home!

:D:D

Sure, same thing happened to me, this past fall.
I purchased a large Sebenza and thought oh no!! what have I done
What will become of all my Spydies and others?

It didn't take but two weeks, and heck the ole Para or Stretch were edc-ing
again, just like nothing happened, their just so usable and familiar that I love's them :p
The Sebi is cool but it aint no Spydie. Also since receiving my new Spyderco Bradley, at times I wonder why I paid so much for the Sebi
Me thinks you'll return to your roots in time, so enjoy the Um, but youll be back. :D

I carry a CR Umnumzaan most days but those Spydercos have a way of sneaking back into my pockets.

It's not unusual to have an Urban or a Slat taking the palce of my other regular EDC knives. :)

Nope. I bought a LH Mnandi a few years back. Still own it, but don't think it has ever been inside a pocket. I was impressed by the workmanship and can understand why people consider CRK the Rolls Royce of production knives, but I'd still much rather have a Spyderco Kiwi in my pocket. It's not a matter of cost. I have several Kiwis I carry which, by virtue of embellishment, cost more than my Mnandi. It's a combination of looks and ergonomics. Blobs of wood stuck on a metal slab just don't look as elegant as scales neatly nested between bolsters and, IMHO, while Chris Reeve excels as a craftsman he runs a distant second to Sal when it comes to designing hand-friendly ergonomic knives.

I second the Deacon, I admire Chris Reeve for his technical excellence but I cant deal without a nice choil and full flat ground.

:) To each his own and the variety is the spice of life etc.
